Arthog Wales Outdoor Education Centre is a long-established popular residential centre providing activities to young people from primary and secondary schools, as well as youth organisations, and adults on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council.
We are looking for the right person to join Arthog OEC, to lead our dedicated Catering Team forwards and manage the catering provision in a busy and vibrant centre.
Our modern kitchen and servery provides a very clean working environment, with high quality, up to date equipment. This helps to ensure that we consistently provide a high standard of catering, which receives regular positive feedback from our guests.
This is a key role in the centre, and the Post Holder will work closely with the Centre Manager, with the responsibility to ensure safe, quality and efficient catering that can be enjoyed in a social dining environment.
Key aspects of the role will include;
- Complying with all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety legislation
- Line managing the Catering Service Team
- Delivering punctual meal services
- Ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Ordering of provisions for production of meals.
Normal hours based on 37hrs per week, including some evening and weekend work. Annual leave entitlement starts at 23 days and 8 bank holidays plus 1 concessionary day. Local Government Pension option available.
Arthog OEC is under the pwnership and management of Telford & Wrekin Council and the post comes with an excellent Local Government employee package, including Local Government Pension. There is a full training package to support and develop all areas of the Catering Manager role.
