The role

We are looking for an experienced L&OD Specialist to structure and deliver an inspiring programme of training and development initiatives for Vestd. We are in the process of building transformational capability across the teams, and we need you to be at the heart of this as the organisation continues to rapidly scale.

With a minimum of three years experience in a saas or digital environment, preferably completely remote, or hybrid, you will excel in designing and developing learning solutions, using a blended approach that includes workshops, group coaching, self-led learning packs and video creation. This will be matched with a good insight into HR practices and D&I.

You will be experienced in the development of Competency Frameworks for a business like ours, and you will relish the opportunity to build these with our Team leaders right across the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a key role in building capability at various touch points along our folks’ journey from inductions through to leadership development workshops, and a focus on soft skills such as personal impact.

Our current team is around fifty strong, in specialist teams comprising of Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Customer Success and HR.

  • Support team leaders in defining, structuring and delivering training that builds capability efficiently and rapidly.
  • Work across teams to ensure a common framework and approach to training to the extent appropriate.
  • Support team leaders in the creation of relevant competency matrices to frame and support individual capability development.
  • Work with team leaders to develop a framework for career progression paths for team members, supported by training and competence development.
  • Source best in class training solutions, and facilitate delivery as needed.
  • You’ll go on to design, develop and deliver and execute compelling learning and development initiatives which will help embed cultural, behavioural and process change.
  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
  • Be at the forefront of new trends and tools in this space.

The core skills we are looking for are as follows, with bonus points on offer to help you really stand out from the pack:

  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a virtual setting
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle
  • Good knowledge of learning management software
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
  • Sound decision making and organisational skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Digitally fluent (G-suite, databases)
  • Degree or equivalent in Education, Training, HR related field
